The Surgical Directorate is responsible for a wide range of clinical services including General Surgery, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, ENT, OMFS, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Endoscopy, Breast Surgery, Pain, Theatres and Pre-Assessment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to be appointed as a Clinical Co-ordinator within the Directorate. This role is significant in the management of our elective programme and emergency admissions as we strive to ensure we get it right first time for the patient. You will provide strong leadership skills and be adaptable in challenging situations to support patient flow. You will work closely with the Capacity and Flow Team and Primary care colleagues in managing transfers to the Medical Directorate, downstream hospitals, to and from tertiary centres.
In conjunction with capacity you will work closely with our Clinical Nurse Managers and Senior Charge Nurses playing a significant role in nurse staffing to ensure person centred quality care is at the forefront, providing effective leadership and expert clinical support.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced nurse with the relevant leadership and management experience looking to take to the next step in their career progression. The successful applicant will be joining a well motivated and dynamic multi-disciplinary team who strive to deliver the highest level of care possible.
The post holder will be a 1st Level Registered Nurse, experience of the Duty Charge Nurse role would be desirable but must have proven leadership skills and managerial experience.
