We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring leader who is passionate about quality, patient-centred care, and service improvement. This is a new General Manager role within the Women’s Health divisional management team.
The successful candidate will work alongside the existing General Manager overseeing Breast and Gynaecology services to establish one WTE Breast and Gynaecology General Manager and one WTE Gynaecology General Manager. The specific service portfolio will be determined based on the skills and experience of the appointees to provide senior leadership across the division.
The ideal candidate must be committed, collaborative, and capable of leading operational service delivery, driving service innovation and transformation, meeting national RTT and CWT targets, and ensuring excellent patient care. The Breast surgery outpatient service operates from the Macmillan Cancer Centre, offering a responsive diagnostic and treatment service through a multidisciplinary approach involving pathology, radiology, surgery, medical oncology, radiotherapy, and specialist breast cancer nurses. The gynaecology service at UCLH, in partnership with The Institute for Women's Health, is renowned for providing comprehensive general and specialist care for women throughout their lives.

* Colposcopy
* Urogynaecology (including bladder dysfunction and complex mesh removal)
* Endometriosis
Reporting to the Divisional Manager, the General Manager will oversee the operational management of Gynaecology, Gynae-oncology, and/or Breast services, ensuring performance targets related to finance, activity, workforce, and others are met, including cancer and referral-to-treatment waiting times standards.
The General Manager will also serve as a key stakeholder in the Gynae-oncology and Breast NCL Clinical Networks, collaborating with the Cancer Alliance and acute trust counterparts to drive service transformation for cancer care.
