Job: Children’s Residential Support Worker Nights (Part Time). A full manual UK driving licence is required.

What is the role?

What will you do?
* Work in a positive, respectful and empowering way with all young people to promote good relationships and achievements
* Work as part of a friendly team to meet the social, emotional, educational and well-being needs of the young people
* Participate in, and encourage the involvement of young people in, the domestic tasks of the home to develop self-care and independence skills
* Update and maintain care plans, review reports and risk assessments and contribute to the overall development of each individual
* Liaise with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best interests of the young people are respected and promoted
* Encourage activities outside the home to include social, educational and community engagement
* Be part of the family environment—engage in activities such as watching a movie, playing a game, going on days out to foster belonging
What do we look for?
* Good understanding of the developmental needs and milestones of young people
* Experience of working with children and families
* Full UK driving licence (manual)
* Ability to communicate, engage and form positive relationships with young people, parents/carers and other professionals
* Ability to produce clear and concise written reports and records, and verbally present information
* Ability to challenge individuals where necessary, while remaining calm and objective in difficult situations
* HNC in Social Care, SVQ level 3 in Care or equivalent qualification, or the ability to undertake these qualifications
