Key Account Manager – DIY, Online & Buying Groups


UK & Ireland

ASR are partnered with a respected and fast-growing design-led manufacturer within the KBB sector, entering an exciting new phase of strategic growth. This is a key commercial appointment — responsible for driving sales performance, deepening relationships with major retail and online partners, and delivering sustained channel growth across the UK and Ireland.


Reporting to the Sales Director, this role will suit an experienced Key Account Manager or National Account Manager who thrives in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment. The successful candidate will be commercially sharp, strategically minded, and confident engaging with senior retail and buying group stakeholders across the DIY, Online, and OEM channels.


The Role

* Take full ownership of a portfolio of key accounts across DIY, Online, and Buying Groups, including B&Q, Victorian Plumbing, Rubberduck, Beyond Retail, and other Tier 2 e-commerce partners.
* Develop and execute account-level strategies that align with business objectives and deliver measurable growth.
* Negotiate annual trading agreements, budgets, and promotional plans to maximise profitability and performance.
* Identify and secure new business opportunities with large retailers, online partners, and distributors — expanding reach into new customer segments and market areas.
* Lead annual sales and marketing planning for each account, collaborating with internal teams on content, product launches (NPI), pricing, and promotional activity.
* Provide regular market insights, competitor analysis, and customer feedback to shape commercial strategy and product development.
* Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Supply Chain teams to ensure key accounts receive exceptional service and support in line with agreed SLAs.



The Person

* Proven success in Key Account Management or Business Development roles within the KBB, interiors, or building materials sector.
* Experience managing large DIY and Online accounts — existing relationships with leading retailers or e-commerce platforms is highly desirable.
* Strong negotiation and strategic planning skills with a track record of delivering sales growth and profitability.
* Excellent communicator and relationship builder — able to influence at all levels, internally and externally.
* Analytical and commercially astute, with the ability to interpret data and turn insight into action.
* Confident working both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, evolving environment.
