Scientific Sales Specialist Home based role - customers UK North (Birmingham up to Scotland), home based, visiting customers sites. Ideal location is Liverpool/Manchester/Leeds areas Up to £41,000 £850 monthly car allowance bonus and other benefits Mon – Fri, 37.5 hours per week. Core office hours are 08.45 – 17.00 My client, a global leader in diagnostics, have a rare opportunity for a Sales and Technical Support Representative to join their team. The purpose of the role is to promote and support the sale of my client’s products and services to new and existing customers in the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and contract testing sectors. You will be responsible for growing new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers within this specialised quality control market. Responsibilities of the Sales and Technical Support Representative will be: • Promotion of my client’s endotoxin detection instruments, reagents, and software – primarily for use in pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device manufacturing and QC laboratories • Maintenance of existing customer business • Seek new customers and expand product sales • Visit customer premises and provide customer technical support • Calibrate customer instrumentation on site • Follow up sales activities • Provide customer training on the use of products • Requirement to work to GMP and ISO Standards • Ability to travel as required within the sales area greater than 60% of the time including nights away from home. A valid Passport and Driving License must be held. • Generate and qualify sales leads • Preparation and presentation of sales contracts and proposals The ideal candidate for Sales and Technical Support Representative will have: • A BSc or equivalent in Biomedical, Clinical Sciences or Microbiology or any other Scientific degree • Sales experience in In vitro Diagnostics/ Diagnostics – experience selling or supporting products in IVD field OR Life science sales and technical support representative with a background in life sciences, experience with laboratory diagnostic assays. • Detailed understanding of the bacterial endotoxin assay • Experience or knowledge of sales into the pharmaceutical or medical device arenas If you are an experienced Sales Representative, within a scientific capacity, looking for your next challenge then please apply now
