Job Title: Lecturer in Maths
The South Hampshire College Group (SHCG) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Lecturer in Maths to join our team. This role involves teaching on courses at various levels, developing outstanding educational provision, and making a positive impact on learners and assessment processes.
1. Teach on courses and develop high-quality provision that benefits learners and assessment processes.
2. Assist in developing teaching and learning materials, prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and maintain records to monitor learner progression, achievement, and attendance.
3. Provide relevant guidance to learners to help them develop knowledge, understanding, and skills.
4. Develop and implement assessment plans and resources that are timely, safe, consistent, and linked to initial and current assessments.
5. Utilize your technical skills and experience to teach students at levels 1, 2, and 3 through theory and practical knowledge.
6. Bring teaching/tutoring/mentoring experience with apprentices, part-time, or full-time learners.
7. Show a passion for imparting knowledge and skills to create better futures for students.
8. Be well-organized with excellent communication skills.
9. Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
10. Hold minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Math or equivalent.
11. Possess a relevant degree and/or appropriate professional qualifications.
12. Have a Level 3 qualification in a relevant area of expertise.
13. Be committed to achieving teaching qualifications.
14. Having an Assessor and Moderator/IQA Award is desirable.
15. Be comfortable engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
16. Be a highly organized, collaborative, and enthusiastic team player.
17. Have a keen interest in your industry and a willingness to undergo further training and development.
18. Be passionate about imparting knowledge and skills.

The role offers a salary of up to £39,992 per annum, based in Southampton, Hampshire, on a permanent contract, working 37 hours per week for 52 weeks per year. Benefits include 50 days leave per year plus bank holidays, a generous pension contribution, and regular training and development opportunities.
