As a PE Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the PE department. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Equipment management: Maintaining, preparing, and setting up sports equipment and facilities for lessons and extracurricular activities.
2. Support for PE Staff: Assisting PE teachers during lessons and events, including setting up and taking down equipment.
3. Health and Safety: Ensuring all equipment and facilities meet health and safety standards.
4. Inventory Management: Keeping an accurate inventory of all PE equipment and ordering new supplies as needed.
5. Administrative Duties: Assisting with administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, andmunication with students and parents.
6. Event coordination: Supporting the organisation and execution of sports events,petitions, and school sports days.
Skills and Qualifications
7. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
8. Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the specific subject area.
9. A full driving licence is desirable.
10. A passion for sports and physical education.
11. Strong organisational and time-management skills.
12. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
13. Goodmunication and interpersonal skills.
14. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
