We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our client’s dynamic and inclusive secondary school in the Blackpool area as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for those wishing to gain practical experience within an educational setting, particularly if you aspire to progress into teaching, pastoral care, or educational psychology.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons across a range of subjects.
* Provide targeted support to individual pupils or small groups, particularly those requiring additional assistance.
* Contribute to the preparation of classroom resources and displays.
* Monitor student progress and behaviour, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Engage in ongoing training, mentoring, and professional development throughout the academic year.

We are seeking an individual who is:

* Energetic, empathetic, and passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential.
* An effective communicator who thrives in a team environment.
* Reliable, punctual, and well-organised with a proactive approach.
* Willing to learn and embrace new challenges with a positive attitude.

Essential:

* Previous experience working or volunteering with children or young people who have SEN
* Minimum of Level 2 Qualification or above

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
