ADP is hiring a Program Director - Staines UK (Hybrid). This role leads a program to transition the ESI Product Development organization to an Outcome-based Model, with the goal of delivering high-quality, resilient products that meet business and client needs. The Program Director will operate globally across a large, complex portfolio as an individual contributor within a distributed product development model. The role includes building the roll-out plan, standard deployment framework, and coaching teams during deployment on the transformed way of working with regular reporting to leadership on program progress.

The ideal candidate will understand the software development lifecycle in an agile environment and will require program management, mature leadership, change management, influential and communication skills to ensure methodology adoption and sustainment.


Responsibilities

* Establish ESI roll-out plan and gain commitment from stakeholders on the Outcome-Based Team (OBT) model deployment.
* Build stakeholder relationships and engage the Business/Product teams during the transition.
* Support teams to strategize and build their outcome-based model blueprint.
* Provide expertise and assistance in building the roll-out plan to scale the model across the Business.
* Establish a change management plan to enable seamless deployment of the model across ESI.
* Upskill Product Development teams to effectively operate with agile methodology.
* Ensure OBT model deployment stays on track with regular progress reviews with stakeholders.
* Manage risks and issues with mitigation strategies during deployment.
* Coach and guide the Business and Stakeholders during the methodology deployment phase.
* Monitor and report program status and methodology adoption to senior leadership.
* Build a standard framework that can be consistently applied across ESI Product Development.
* Focus on continuous improvement to optimize the methodology and share best practices.
* Ensure adoption and sustainability of the transition with coaches within the Business.
* Advocate the model and promote deployment.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.


Performance Measures

* Successful transition and adoption of the Outcome-based team model across ESI Product Development.
* Management of the transition program with an upfront roadmap aligned with senior leadership.
* Proactive management of risks and issues with timely reporting on progress.
* Fostering collaboration between Product and Business teams.
* Contributing to continuous improvement of the Outcome-based model for effective application.
* Acceleration of deployment of the Outcome-based team model across ESI.


Qualifications

* Experience: 3+ years delivering Scrum methodology in software development life cycle (SDLC) with extensive commercial track record in technical Program/Project management.
* Proficiency with at least one Agile Lifecycle Management tool (e.g., Rally, JIRA). Thorough understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
* Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and mentor all roles on a Scrum team.
* Experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) technology is a plus.
* Successful experience working with geographically diverse teams and international exposure.
* Strong change management experience to transform ways of working across teams.
* Proven track record delivering large projects on time and within budget.
* Ability to scale and transfer agile knowledge in environments with individuals new to agile.
* Skills: Knowledge of Agile methodologies (XP, Kanban) and experience coaching Scrum teams; familiarity with User Stories, ATDD, TDD, CI, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games.
* Effective communication (oral and written) with engineering teams to achieve project goals; ability to propagate information clearly and promptly.
* Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally.
* Ability to work on highly complex assignments with minimal instructions and drive cultural change management.
* Strong collaboration and team orientation with the ability to operate as an individual contributor.
* Ability to manage several concurrent projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
* Knowledge of software languages, hardware platforms, and their uses.
* Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies and tools; resource management and change management techniques.
* Ability to adapt style to different working environments and cultures; ability to influence in a matrix organization.
* Possess a can-do attitude, integrity, and the ability to inspire confidence with an open and engaging style.
* Ability to interact with all levels of management and demonstrate leadership; set clear direction and energize teams.
* Education: University degree or equivalent in education and experience.
* PMP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required; Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) is a plus.
