We offer opportunities to work on a variety of projects including both permanent and temporary works for buildings, tunnels, bridges, deep basements, marine structures and other assets. Key Accountabilities:
1. Working as member of our Buildings Structures team in Guildford to deliver quality services to clients
2. Working with the Buildings Structures team to ensure all designs are in accordance with set standards and all recommendations are robust, value-based and commissionable
3. Ensures that design solutions are completed on time and that the design fulfils the brief
4. Inspects construction work and checks that all aspects of design are correctly implemented
5. Monitors processes and results and check that they comply with relevant safety, legal, ethical and regulatory requirements
6. Ability to make appropriate judgements and decisions and exercise initiative
7. Assisting at tender stage of projects

Requirements
Key Requirements
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
1. Minimum 2.1 Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
2. Has proven technical knowledge of design in steel and reinforced concrete works and proven ability to use relevant software
3. Experienced & confident with report writing and presentation skills
4. Can communicate effectively with colleagues and outside agencies and build effective working relationships, always aiming to exceed client expectations
5. Adheres to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations
6. Is committed to Continued Professional Development and achieving Chartered status
