We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant hospitality environment, supporting the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to organisational standards
* Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development
* Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in line with menu specifications and quality standards
* Manage food production processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency across all culinary offerings
* Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
* Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock ordering, and ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies
* Support the training of junior staff members in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures
* Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements
* Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
* Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management
* Demonstrated ability to manage team dynamics effectively and lead by example
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
* Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments effectively
* Passion for delivering high-quality food experiences and exceptional customer service
