An exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join the Child Health & Disability Team with Rhondda Cynon Taff Children's Services. This is an ongoing opportunity. Pay rate up to £38.43 umbrella company.
The team operates on a flexible basis, combining remote work, agile working, and work within the local office in Pontypridd.
Main duties of the post holder:
1. Working alongside a multi-agency team of professionals, in partnership with families
2. Contributing to the development and maintenance of effective systems to ensure quality services
3. Completing Wellbeing Assessments, child protection enquiries, and developing and reviewing care and support plans
4. Supporting families in a multi-agency capacity
5. Attending Child Protection Conferences, Children who are Looked After Reviews, and Court as required
6. Providing specialist advice and support across the wider children’s services team regarding children with additional needs
7. Participating in the team duty rota
8. Attending regular team meetings
9. Demonstrating high-quality written and verbal practice
10. Providing peer support to newly qualified social workers
Requirements to apply:
* A minimum of 6 months experience working in the UK as a registered social worker
* A relevant Social Work Qualification
* Registration with Social Care Wales
* Experience working within a Child Health & Disability Team
* Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team around children
* Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or willing to apply for one
* 3 years of referencing
* Driving license with access to a car
