Cockshott Peck Lewis are looking to recruit a qualified lawyer with at least 2 years' experience, to join the busy team in Southport. In order to be considered for this important role, you will need to have a genuine passion for your clients. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills coupled with an ability to deliver outstanding client service. This role involves regular contact with clients and their advisers.
Working in a busy office with multiple cases each day. You'll need to demonstrate a keen attention to detail and be confident working autonomously. There's a great bunch of colleagues to support you and help you achieve your objectives. We will do everything possible to ensure you'll love working here.
You will need to provide clients and advisers with regular updates, advice and draft documentation. Primarily, the purpose of the role is to undertake fee earning work to provide profitable contribution from this important service.
The Role:
Managing a high-quality caseload of private client work, including:
* Probate Estate and trust administration
* Wills, inheritance tax and succession planning
* LPAs, deputyship and Court of Protection matters
* Advising high-net-worth individuals and families
* Supporting business development and networking where required.
Skills and experience:
* A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in private client matters.
* Confident handling a range of wills, probate and estate planning work.
* Comfortable managing your own files with minimal supervision.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused approach.
* STEP qualification (or working towards) is an advantage but not essential.
* Good organisational / communication and time management skills.
* Ability to run own caseload.
* Proven effective management of matters.
* Providing Support for junior members of the team.
· Provide legal and regulatory input into business strategy and internal systems.
