The role requires accurate and timely payment to employees by managing payroll processing, calculating tax and NI contributions, and handling deductions and benefits.
Key duties include entering and auditing payroll data, resolving staff queries about pay and timesheets, preparing statutory reports and payslips, and maintaining compliance with UK payroll regulations. You will run the payroll depayment and will be the point of contact for employee and employer pay enquiries.
* Payroll Processing: Manage the full end-to-end payroll process for UK employees, from data entry to sending payslips and resolving queries.
* Statutory Calculations: Calculate and process income tax, National Insurance contributions, pension contributions, and other statutory deductions accurately.
* Data Management: Maintain accurate payroll records, ensure data integrity, and update employee information in the payroll system.
* Compliance: Stay updated on current UK payroll legislation and ensure all payroll processes and submissions are compliant with statutory requirements and regulations.
* Employee Support: Act as a first point of contact for employees, addressing and resolving queries related to timesheets, payslips, and pay-related issues.
* Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate and timely payroll reports for RTI.
* Year-End Processing: Coordinate and complete year-end payroll processes, including the production of forms such as P60s and P11Ds.

* Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.
