Role Overview
The Construction Manager at Bancs is responsible for overseeing the delivery of all live construction projects, ensuring they are executed to a high standard of quality, safety, and programme.
Working closely with the Senior Project Manager, this role leads site operations across multiple projects, managing Site Managers and Supervisors while maintaining consistency and control across all sites.
This is a leadership role focused on delivery, standards, and structure across the business.
Structure
* Reports to: Senior Project Manager
* Manages: Site Managers / Site Supervisors
* Oversees: All live construction sites
Core Responsibilities
Site Operations
* Take responsibility for all live sites across the business
* Ensure each project is running to programme and properly resourced
* Maintain visibility across all projects at all times
Leadership of Site Teams
* Manage and support Site Managers and Supervisors
* Set clear expectations around standards, organisation, and performance
* Develop and improve the capability of site teams
Quality Control
* Ensure all work meets Bancs’ standards
* Maintain consistent quality across all projects
* Identify and resolve issues early
Programme & Delivery
* Work with the Senior Project Manager to manage programmes
* Ensure projects are planned and sequenced properly
* Intervene early where projects begin to fall behind
Technical Oversight
* Provide support on structural and complex elements of works
* Review drawings and identify potential issues
* Liaise with consultants where required
Subcontractor Management
* Oversee subcontractors across all sites
* Ensure productivity, quality, and professionalism
* Address underperformance where required
Health & Safety
* Maintain high standards of health and safety
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and site requirements
* Lead by example on site
Communication & Reporting
* Maintain clear communication with the Senior Project Manager and site teams
* Provide regular updates on progress and key issues
Systems & Process
* Ensure all sites follow Bancs systems and processes
* Maintain consistency in how projects are managed
Culture & Standards
* Represent the Bancs brand on site
* Maintain a professional and organised approach
* Promote accountability and high standards across teams
Requirements
Experience
* 7–15+ years in construction
* Experience managing multiple sites and teams
* Strong background in structural works and high-quality delivery
Qualifications
* SMSTS (essential)
* CSCS (essential)
* First Aid (preferred)

Salary
* £55,000 – £60,000 depending on experience
* Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
