Kier Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our internal MEP business, Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME).
KME collaborates internally and with our regional construction teams to deliver MEP solutions across various sectors.
Location: Solihull, West Midlands
Hours: Full time, Permanent
As a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, your role will involve overseeing the installation of Mechanical elements on assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring all work complies with Kier standards, UK law, safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
* Collaborating with design teams and clients to optimize designs for safety, efficiency, and compliance.
* Managing project controls such as change, risk, opportunity, and quality assurance.
* Leading and supporting project team members, setting clear expectations, and promoting a collaborative 'one team' approach.
* Delivering projects within agreed timeframes and budgets, meeting commercial and quality targets.
* Maintaining accurate records and demonstrating sound decision-making aligned with commercial priorities.
Candidate Requirements:
* Technical expertise in Mechanical Services and safety, with relevant industry qualifications.
* Minimum of CSCS and SMSTS accreditation.
* Experience overseeing Mechanical Services installation on large-scale construction projects is preferred.
