Our content is scripted, directed, and produced in-house with a team of voice actors, writers, editors, developers, and artists. The Role We're looking for an Assembly Editor to join our post-production pipeline. You'll be the first person to touch raw footage — cutting bad takes, arranging voice actor audio against the script, and delivering a clean rough cut ready for senior editing and VA review. This is a part-time, remote role with fixed working hours. You must be available and actively working during the scheduled window, typically completing one assembly per session. Our current editors turn around an assembly in 2–3 hours from approximately 1 hour of raw footage. There is also an opportunity to grow into a wider editing role. We're looking for a backup editor who can step in to cover our Senior Editor during holidays or illness — producing finished edits, not just assemblies. Candidates who demonstrate strong work on assemblies will be first in line for this work when it arises. Responsibilities Assemble raw Minecraft footage into rough cuts following provided scripts and scene breakdowns Cut bad takes, dead air, and unusable footage Sync and arrange voice actor audio to the correct scenes and timings Render and deliver assembly cuts for VA review Review assembled edits for errors, continuity issues, and missing assets Flag issues and request fixes from the production team with clear, specific notes Communicate with voice actors regarding retakes or audio quality issues Maintain organised project files and follow established naming conventions Meet deadlines consistently within the scheduled working hours Requirements Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro Strong understanding of basic editing principles: pacing, continuity, audio sync Highly organised and detail-oriented — you're catching mistakes, not making them Clear, professional written communication (you'll be liaising with VAs and production staff daily) Reliable internet connection and a machine capable of editing 1080p footage Able to commit to the fixed schedule — this is not a "work whenever" role Nice to Have Familiarity with Minecraft content or gaming YouTube Experience working in a remote production team Understanding of YouTube audience retention and pacing for younger audiences Basic knowledge of audio cleanup or normalisation Experience producing finished edits (VFX, SFX, music, pacing) — relevant if you're interested in the backup Senior Editor opportunity Trial Period All new hires begin with a paid trial period so we can assess fit on both sides before committing to an ongoing arrangement.
