Background & Role Overview

Having grown at pace, we have identified a need to invest in our People Team and create a high performing, agile function that acts as an enabler to our organisation and our colleagues and supports our overall business strategy and growth agenda.


The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality recruitment activity, acting as a trusted partner to hiring managers and a champion of exceptional candidate experience. The role is responsible for the delivery of accurate, timely and high-quality Talent Acquisition support across the full recruitment lifecycle.


Partnering with colleagues across the People Team, the Talent Acquisition Specialist is a pivotal role in ensuring the hiring processes runs efficiently, candidate experience is consistently excellent, and all recruitment activity is delivered with accuracy, pace and professionalism. The role supports the People Team’s objective to create a seamless, compliant and engaging candidate experience, providing recruitment support that enables leaders to perform their best.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, end-to-end administration services across the full recruitment lifecycle, including but not limited managing job postings, updating the applicant tracking systems and maintaining accurate candidate records
  • Guiding and supporting managers on role design, market insights, assessment methods and selection decisions
  • Partnering with the People Operations Specialist to ensure accuracy of employee records in our HRIS platform (currently Bamboo HR) and SharePoint, ensuring data integrity is maintained
  • Own the creation of offer packs, employment contracts, self-employed contractor agreements
  • Working side by side with the People Operations Specialist to ensure new hire information provided in a timely manner to appropriate internal parties (eg Payroll, IT)
  • Managing the candidate talent pool, seeking opportunities to stay connected
  • Supporting hiring managers to make confident, timely hiring decisions
  • Scheduling interviews, organising panels, preparing interview packs and ensuring smooth communication between candidate and hiring managers – delivering best in class candidate experience
  • Where applicable, conducting first line interviews to shortlist candidates
  • Ensuring the company’s candidate compliance requirements are adhered to.
  • Partnering with the internal vetting team to ensure all pre-employment and right to work checks are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment metrics to enable the creation of meaningful recruitment reports and ensuring data integrity across systems and trackers
  • Own the pre-hire onboarding processes so our new hires’ experience reflects our People First values and culture
  • Building relationships with industry and market networks and agencies to source candidates for hard to fill roles
  • Support the Head of People & Talent in the creation of timely and accurate recruitment reports and dashboards (weekly, monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc)
  • Contribute to wider People Team projects designed to build out policies, processes, and skills across the organisation to improve the employee experience.
  • Provide expert guidance on hiring processes (internal and external hiring), applicant tracking systems and recruitment documentation within a timely manner
  • Coordinating candidate assessments, supporting candidates and hiring managers through the process as required
  • Working in collaboration with wider business areas to ensure a seamless candidate and employee experience
  • May be asked to act as HR note taker during meetings as required
  • Proactively seek efficiency and quality enhancement opportunities to continuously improve how we work


Requirements

Essential

  • Experience in Recruitment operations, administration or shared services centres of excellence
  • Strong foundational recruitment process knowledge and a core understanding of UK employment legislation
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), HRIS platform (ideally Bamboo HR)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (including Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Experience using Bamboo HR, or similar HRIS platform
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple hiring requests at any one time
  • Commitment to delivering an excellent candidate and colleague experience
  • Understands inclusive hiring practices and fair selection methods
  • Proactively takes ownership of work activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deal with information in a confidential manner
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Strong relationship skills

  • Experience working in a multi-regional organisation
  • Saville Assessments Accredited (Level A and Level B)
