About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in Bransgore. This role involves working closely alongside a Year 2 class teacher to provide tailored support for pupils who require additional assistance with their learning and development.
The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
* Work collaboratively with the Year 2 teacher to plan and adapt learning activities
* Support children with their academic, social, and emotional development
* Implement strategies outlined in individual education plans (IEPs)
* Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
* A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A good understanding of primary education, particularly Key Stage 1
* A commitment to inclusion and supporting diverse learning needs
