NSL, part of Marston Holdings Ltd, provides outsourced business services to the public and private sectors, including parking and street management solutions. This is a full-time, permanent role working 42.5 hours per week.
Role
HGV Driver
For this role you must hold a Full UK Driving Licence [Class 2 HGV] + HIAB.
What does our HGV Driver do?
The successful candidate will be trained to use high-tech equipment and carry out enforcement action on untaxed vehicles on behalf of the DVLA, including the recovery of unlicensed vehicles. You will operate within current legislation and procedures and ensure all members of the public are treated equally and fairly.
Duties
* Attends a daily briefing and collects all removal information and reports relevant to the day’s work.
* Ensures vehicle and equipment is serviceable and fit for purpose; reports faults to the Pound Manager.
* Carries out a physical examination of lifting and towing equipment, and checks that the digital tachograph is operating correctly.
* Checks that the recovery vehicle is capable of removing vehicles safely and informs the pound manager of any concerns.
* Performs safe removal of all vehicles (via tablet PC or telephone), takes required photographs, completes a vehicle condition report, contacts the pound to confirm removal, and informs the Police as needed.
* Delivers vehicles to the pound, unloads, takes further photographs, and requests next task from the office.
* May work with other agencies when required (Police, DVLA, VOSA).
* Handles public enquiries regarding enforcement action and provides relevant information packs.
* Flexible in working hours and locations; may take on other temporary roles as required.
* Be presentable with high levels of personal integrity and honesty.
