TMUK Lincoln is offering a fantastic opportunity to join the Engineering team at Firth Road, Lincoln as a Graduate Engineering Business Support professional.
In this role, you will work with cross-functional teams (supply, projects, engineering) to collate and input material information into the ERP system to build accurate product Bills of Materials (BOMs). You will support the maintenance and updating of engineering drawing borders and documentation, with opportunities to gain exposure to mechanical design through occasional involvement in live projects—helping you develop practical technical skills and understanding.
You will also investigate and define product functionality by conducting detailed research into origin, components, and intended use. Collaborating with engineering, supply chain, export, and sales teams, you will gather accurate end-use information to support classification of products for export control and commodity code assignments.
Key Responsibilities
* Examine documents such as drawings, change requests, specifications, and forms to verify compliance, completeness, and accuracy.
* Confer with document originators to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents.
* Post changes to records, release documents, update parts in the ERP system, and notify affected departments.
* Maintain databases of all filed documentation to ensure fast retrieval of documents.
* Perform clerical typing duties to generate documents as necessary.
* Support the maintenance and update of engineering drawings.
* Create change documents (requests, orders, notices, etc.).
* Create part numbers and enter part numbers and BOMs in the ERP system.
* Liaise with Procurement and other relevant stakeholders on BOM issues and reports.
* Contact personnel at all organizational levels to gather information and prepare reports.
* Conduct light research, analyze data, determine approach with guidance, and compile and prepare reports/recommendations.
* Research and collect part environmental compliance information and enter it into the ERP system and/or database.
* Prepare various reports and memorandums.
What We're Looking for in You
* Degree in Engineering or Business Management.
* Understanding of aspects of engineering and manufacturing processes.
* Familiarity with ERP/SAP software (desirable but not essential).
