Role Description
The Senior Estimator will play a key role in developing accurate cost estimates, managing tenders, and ensuring competitive pricing for projects.
Day-to-day responsibilities include analysing project specifications, building strong relationships with suppliers, sourcing materials, and collaborating with design and construction teams to assess project feasibility and optimize costs. This is a full-time role with some on-site working but based mostly in the Hillsborough office. The role requires excellent attention to detail and analytical abilities.
Qualifications
* Strong background in construction cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis. 5+ years. 3+ years in UK or RoI market.
* Experience with project management and procurement processes, including tender preparation and supplier negotiations.
* Proficiency in reading technical drawings and understanding material requirements for stonework and façades.
* Proven knowledge in natural stone applications and construction materials is highly desirable.
* Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors effectively.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools for estimating and project planning is preferred.
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus.
