Job Description:
Our client is an established and ambitious software company and digital agency, owned by a very successful entrepreneur. They have a newly created opportunity for a Creative and User Experience Manager to join their team in central Woking.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will be responsible for managing products throughout their lifecycle, contributing to the product roadmap, writing specifications, and managing daily projects within the development team.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and guide a team of 4 to meet the company's vision, capitalize on commercial opportunities, and satisfy customer needs.
* Oversee all design and front-end development output for clients and internal projects, striving for excellence.
* Drive UI/UX design forward, ensuring the products stay ahead of industry trends and competitors.
* Utilize customer data and insights to enhance UX and inform product improvements.
* Create strategic proposals and pitches for new business and growth opportunities.
* Maintain high standards in creative design, UX/UI, and foster an environment for the team to excel based on industry best practices.
* Apply your digital expertise to prioritize customer needs.
* Adopt a mindset of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to enhance user journeys and performance.
* Build and mentor a team capable of delivering outstanding design solutions, collaborating with partners and freelancers as needed.
* Manage training and development, focusing on skills enhancement, cross-discipline knowledge, and career growth.
* Research and onboard cutting-edge innovations to evolve the company's offerings in line with industry trends and customer needs.
* Oversee strategy for customer experience optimization, journey mapping, website design, research, and insights.
* Design and implement new processes within your department, collaborating with wider teams.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
* Strong understanding of UX design principles and human cognitive principles.
* Experience with user journey mapping, information architecture, user research, web design, and digital marketing.
* Commercially driven with experience negotiating agreements.
* Excellent customer-facing skills and stakeholder management.
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and extensive digital knowledge.
* Good copywriting skills.
* Understanding of digital marketing principles.
* Knowledge of front-end development and best practices, including LESS, CSS, jQuery, and HTML.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm, hybrid in-office 3 days a week.
