The Chief of Service Planned Care (Integration) will be responsible for providing high-level operational and strategic business planning and leadership to ensure that the Care Group provides high quality patient care and achieves its performance objectives. This will include accountability for high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical quality and governance, the delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives, and ensuring that the Care Group operates with the needs of patients as its highest priority.
Main duties of the job
Be accountable for the operational performance and strategic development of the Care Group. This will include accountability for the delivery of high quality patient care, clinical governance, patient safety, clinical quality and delivery of improved financial efficiency.
Have joint responsibility with the Group Chiefs of Service and Executive Leadership Team for driving forward corporate and cross cutting programmes of work and service direction.
Work closely with the Executive Directors as part of the senior leadership team to shape and implement the corporate strategy and annual objectives.
Lead on and ensure strategic alignment across the Group and particularly across the Care Groups.
Build and further develop external relationships across the Healthcare Community e.g. with Primary Care, PCNA, Cluster ICB, Neighbourhood Board, Local Authorities, Universities and National Bodies.
Person Specification
Senior Clinical leader with extensive experience in primary care.
Experience of working in a multi-professional team.
Demonstrable track record of achievement as a clinical leader in a primary care and community setting.
A track record of applying a collaborative approach to implementing changes.
Strong understanding of the challenges facing the NHS and the Trust over the next 10 years.
Strong evidence of sensitivity to the needs and expectations of patients.
Strong evidence of the ability to communicate and collaborate at Senior Leadership.
Strong evidence of the ability and desire to innovate and drive service change and improvement - focusing on both quality and productivity - including evidence that they set a very positive example in terms of quality and productivity in their own practice.
Strong evidence of the ability and commitment to manage resources effectively.
Highly analytical and numerate so as to be able to evaluate and use the complex information relating to the Division and its functions.
Evidence of the ability to think and act strategically at a level appropriate.
