Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves cultivating and maintaining gardens, ensuring that plants thrive and landscapes remain aesthetically pleasing. The Gardener will work with various tools and equipment to accomplish tasks efficiently while adhering to best practices in gardening.
Duties
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for planting, pruning, weeding, and general garden maintenance.
* Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and landscapes.
* Conduct regular inspections of garden areas to identify pests, diseases, or other issues affecting plant health.
* Assist in the design and layout of new garden areas, incorporating knowledge of horticulture and plant selection.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening tools and equipment after use.
* Collaborate with team members to execute landscape projects effectively and within set timelines.
* Provide advice on plant care and maintenance to clients or team members as needed.
Requirements
* Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques and practices.
* Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to gardening tasks.
* Understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance is advantageous.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognise plant health issues promptly.
* Excellent organisational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
