Key Details:
* Job Title: Management Accountant
* Salary: Up to £50k, DOE
* Location: Peterborough
* Working pattern: Full-time, onsite (flexible working)
Responsibilities:
* Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of three finance professionals.
* Taking ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
* Managing month-end activities, including accruals and prepayments.
* Producing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
* Preparing weekly KPI reporting for operational leaders across the business.
* Producing reports and management information for senior stakeholders and the board.
* Managing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and best practice.
* Overseeing banking and funding facility administration, ensuring compliance with all relevant requirements.
* Supporting statutory, banking, and regulatory audits.
* Identifying opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiencies across the finance function.
* Contributing to a variety of finance and business improvement projects.
Requirements:
* ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
* Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
* Experience working within a high-volume transactional environment.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* A hands-on approach and willingness to support your team during busy periods.
* Experience of leading, coaching, or mentoring team members
