About the Trust
The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds, and offers specialist inpatient services in York and across the country.
Overview
Develop clinical and leadership skills across the Yorkshire and Humberside Personality Disorder Partnership (YHPDP). The service focuses on progressive, trauma‑informed engagement to improve outcomes for individuals with personality disorder and staff. Experience within the criminal justice system or secure mental health care is desirable.
Responsibilities
Provide a highly specialist psychological service across the consultation and formulation (Core OM) strand of the YHPDP, supporting the implementation of the Offender Personality Disorder strategy.
* Work formulation‑based, trauma‑informed with the multidisciplinary team to build capacity.
* Provide line‑management and clinical supervision to Probation Practitioners, Assistant Psychologists or Trainees.
* Work autonomously within professional guidance and team policies.
* Deliver Core OM consultation within the Offender Management in Custody model; consult Prison Offender Managers and other staff on OPD caseload in HMP Millsike and HMP Doncaster.
* Support hybrid working from the YHPDP office in Leeds, travelling regionally including to HMP Millsike and HMP Doncaster.
Qualifications
* Doctoral or Master’s level training in Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychology, or equivalent, with BPS/HCPC registration, or Master’s or above in psychotherapy accredited by UKCP or BPC.
* Relevant post‑qualification training and experience for the role.
* Formal training in supervision of others.
Skills
* Consultation skills for professional and non‑professional groups.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

This post requires a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
Salary
£57,528 to £64,750 per annum, pro rata.
