Sales Manager – Consumer Leisure and Fitness Exhibition job in Guildford, Surrey
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 + Uncapped commission + Hybrid working + Flexible working hours + Progression
Sales Manager job based in Guildford, Surrey, for a multi-award-winning B2C/B2B Events company, focused on the health and wellbeing sector. The role will be selling event sponsorship, digital solutions and event space for their UK Consumer Leisure and Fitness show. Having trebled in size in the last 3 years, they are now looking to expand their sales team further and you will have every chance to progress as they continue to grow. There is international travel required to attend their own and competitor events in the UK and internationally.
The company was established over 7 years ago, delivering successful events across the UK, US and EU. They are now a team of over 40 and promote a flexible and healthy work environment, with designated time out to keep fit and flexible working hours. About the role:
- Plan and executive sales strategy for the show, selling exhibition space, sponsorship and digital solutions
- Manage and grow existing accounts ensuring rebook rate is maintained and / or increased (40%)
- Generating new business opportunities through proactive market research (60%)
- Liaise with the marketing, content and operational teams on new revenue streams and solutions for clients, ensuring they are delivered effectively and efficiently
- Be commercially aware of the event target, budget and margins
- Review pricing policies and suggest ideas that increase revenue and new business / growth of accounts
-Managing the full sales process through to close, including face to face meeting with clients
- Maintain and streamline team processes and procedures
- Be prepared to manage / mentor other sales team members as you develop in your role
- Attending company events and competitor shows in the UK and internationally.
The ideal candidate:
- Ideally 3+ year experience in Exhibition / Event Sales
- Passion for the events and / or sports, outdoors, active, health & wellbeing sector
- Must have experience in generating new business as well as nurturing existing accounts / rebooks
- Consultative sales approach
- Experienced in developing new ideas for new event revenue streams
- Commercial awareness
- Experienced in sponsorship, event space and digital sales
- Keen to develop into a management role with the right training and support
- Right to work in the UK
- Flexibility to travel internationally to competitor shows.
Benefits:

- 30% of salary (Uncapped)
