With the growth and expansion of our ABP Penston site in Glasgow, we have the opportunities below available to build our teams inline with increase in volume.
Role Definition:
In chill production line area, conduct cleaning and hygiene operations, to deadlines, whilst complying at all times with company operating requirements, especially in respect of quality, health, safety & ethics, traceability, product integrity, labelling and company, personal & food hygiene rules and legislation. In full compliance with relevant Legal, National, Corporate and Retailer standards and delivering improved quality and hygiene to customers, internal and external and reduced complaints and cost to the organisation.
Paying special regard to:

* Traceability
* Product safety, authenticity and integrity, labelling and company, personal & food hygiene rules & legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Complete required hygiene activities meeting company standards to planned volume and schedule
* Ensure strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processes
* Support necessary line efficiency through consistent and correct schedule adherence and hygiene practices
* Keep and maintain appropriate records as required
* Ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation and safe operating procedures
* Ensure consistent and timely attendance at work
* Provide flexibility to meet company operating requirements
* Provide pro- and re-active and supportive verbal and written communication to team members, supervisors and managers.
* Deliver proper use of chemicals, adherence to food and personal safe working practices at all times
* Ensure audit readiness
* Support best team performance, efficiency, service levels and employee engagement
* Invest in own learning and development and support that of others
* Support trainee development to ensure the 'next generation' workforce
* To ensure all products are sourced and manufactured to the Food Safety & Brand Integrity requirements defined by our customers' requirements & BRC standards.
Personal Specification:
* Speaking, writing and understanding basic spoken and written English language. (This is an essential health & safety, traceability and quality control requirement)
* Basic numeracy skills
* Attentive to detail
* Good communication skills at all levels
* Working in a chilled environment
* Flexible, adaptable and keen to learn and support others' development
* Learning and implementing new information quickly
* Strong team collaborator
* Accreditation Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2
Pay & Shift Pattern:
£13.10 per hour, Varied, 40 hours per week.
