How you'll make a differenceAs a Bikeability Instructor, you will provide road safety awareness skills to children and adults, enabling them to be confident and consistent whilst travelling throughout South Gloucestershire. What you will be doingIt will be your responsibility to deliver training to adults, children and families throughout the year, including some evenings and weekends. Regularly, you will promote cycle training to groups and individuals. As a confident cyclist, you will be happy to work in all weathers. What we need from youIt is essential that you are an accomplished cyclist, used to cycling in all road and traffic conditions and can provide your own bicycle and cycle helmet which must be worn at all times. You must have strong communication skills, with the ability to convey clear instructions to children, adults and other professionals.You will have good availability during school times, at least two days a week and you will ideally have some experience of working with children. What you need to knowWe have two positions available and both are offered on an annualised contract. Hours available are:900 hours throughout the year - 17.26 hours weekly600 hours throughout the year - 11.51 hours weekly240 hours throughout the year - 4.60 hours weekly Salary is £13.26 per hour, with travel time and expenses paid. Salary pro rated to hours worked.Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.
