Location: Cannock
Pay: £30,000 to £32,000 per year + £2,500 annual bonus depending on performance
Contract: Full-time, 173.3 hours per month (mix of 16.5-hour shifts and administration hours as confirmed on rota, based on the needs of young people and the business
Job Role: As a Deputy Manager, youll work closely with the Home Manager to lead the home and ensure it runs smoothly and effectively. Youll provide both direct care and team leadership while stepping in for the Manager as needed. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting and supervising staff, appraisals, training, and team development Ensuring the home meets all care and compliance standards Helping with recruitment and rota planning Leading by example in day-to-day care and safeguarding of children Managing shift audits, reporting systems, and quality checks Promoting therapeutic practice and the PACE model Acting as a point of contact for external professionals and families Being a role model for the team and the children
Experience and Qualifications required:
Experience in residential childcare, ideally in a leadership or deputy role
Experience supporting young people with EBD, SEN, or trauma
Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care (required),
Level 5 desirable or willingness to complete
Full UK driving licence
Confident in staff supervision, rota planning, and safeguarding responsibilities
Strong communication and organisational skills
