DVLA has three exciting opportunities within the Information Assurance & Governance (IAG) team for Information Assurance Managers. You will work closely within a small, dynamic team to deliver outcomes and provide support to the Senior Executive Officer leading the workstream and wider Senior Management Team.
Whether it be managing Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs), managing data sharing requests or assuring processes for compliance with data protection or information security standards, you will work with relevant stakeholders in accordance with legislative or regulatory frameworks and DVLA policy and guidance.

You will be highly consultive with the ability to provide information assurance support to delivery teams and the wider business, ensuring the processes we use to secure our data meet regulatory and legislative requirements. You will review and assure new and existing data processing activities providing the Information Asset Owner (IAO) Project Manager, DVLA Chief Data Officer, SIRO and DVLA Data Protection Manager (DPM) with the assurances and risk profile in order to inform any decision making.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:
* Developing DPIAs in respect of high-risk processing activities in accordance with UKGDPR, incorporating related legislation and guidelines and associated guidance issued by relevant regulatory authorities, through to ensuring timely sign off by relevant parties including the Information Asset Owner (IAO).
* Providing advice and guidance to Operational Service Management, Service Designers, Project Managers and other relevant stakeholders, to ensure compliance with the UKGDPR legal requirement, to ensure Privacy by Design and Default and assure data processing activities.
* Managing requests to share or process personal data in line with agreed governance, ensuring there is a legal gateway to do so, data protection principles are adhered to, and data is protected accordingly, and incidents managed under the relevant controller/processor responsibilities.
* Providing a positive stakeholder / customer experience, through the understanding of often complex and diverse legal, regulatory and data security requirements to ensure a quality of service and undertake regular self-assessments to improve customer / stakeholder service.
