We are looking for a Sales Representative - Application Development Engineer - EMEA.
As a Solutions Provider and Innovation Partner, the Celanese Micromax business applies over 60 years of experience in thick film electronic pastes to solve material science challenges. Customers rely on us to create innovative, high-quality materials for demanding applications.
Our products enable electrical designers to create high-performance printed electronic circuits on various substrates, including flexible and stretchable electronics. Ceramic circuitry can withstand high temperatures and challenging environments.
Target markets include automotive, consumer electronics, biotechnology, telecommunications, defense, aerospace, and information technology.
This role combines Application Development Engineer responsibilities with account management to generate pipeline opportunities within existing and new accounts.
The candidate will work closely with potential customers to develop new applications for Micromax products, documenting their technical needs, and driving value capture and revenue growth.
Collaboration with regional teams is essential to nurture growth opportunities and contribute to product development.
The role can be based in the UK, France, Italy, Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, or Austria.
* Manage a limited number of accounts in the EMEA region.
* Coordinate with Account Managers, Product Management, and Technical teams to develop and manage opportunity pipelines.
* Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential customers, focusing on value and growth.
* Create and close growth projects, documenting opportunities meticulously.
* Identify value propositions for end-use applications.
* Assess competition and develop mitigation strategies.
* Monitor Voice of Customer (VOC) throughout the development cycle.
* Work with regional teams on pricing and strategy implementation.
* Collaborate internally to meet the needs of Sales, R&D, and Product Management, ensuring effective communication.
The role requires significant travel, approximately 40-60%.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar, with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years without a degree, in sales, business development, or technical service. Experience in the electronics industry, particularly with microcircuit materials or Micromax, is preferred.
Additional qualities include curiosity, strong documentation skills, and willingness to travel. Microcircuit or Micromax experience, early-stage innovation experience, and proximity to major airports are advantageous.
