Our client is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to support their engineering team in Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a general background in maintenance, keen to work in a collaborative environment! There is also a chance of longer term work or permanent employment for the right candidate! Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance activities across the site. Maintain cleanliness in main factory areas to an acceptable standard. Assist engineers with maintenance and minor alterations to plant and equipment. Work safely and comply with all health and safety rules, processes, and legislation. Contribute to departmental 5S initiatives. Carry out general janitorial duties (e.g., distributing overalls, painting, waste management). Support engineering activities as needed. Collaborate with production and engineering team members.What We're Looking For: A self-motivated individual with a knack for teamwork. Strong communication skills and an organised approach to workload. Previous experience in manufacturing, production environments or maintenance is a plus but training will be provided What You'll Get: A full-time position (37 hours per week) with a day shift from 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM. A competitive hourly rate of £14.57.
