Overview
We are looking for an experienced Category Manager, based at our Head Office in Barton-Upon-Humber. The position is full time, working 5 days a week from Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:00.
As Category Manager, you will lead the commercial and strategic management of defined product categories to drive sales growth, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement category strategies based on market trends, customer insights, and business goals.
* Propose, lead, and coordinate procurement projects, managing the supply chain from sourcing to end-user delivery.
* Lead contract negotiations and manage high-value or complex supplier agreements.
* Monitor and manage category KPI's, including sales performance, margin, stock levels and inventory turnover.
* Support new product development and launch initiatives within your category.
* Develop the team of Buyers, Junior Buyers and Purchasing Assistants, driving performance and supporting personal growth.

* Previous experience in a buyer or procurement role
* Proven negotiation skills and experience with contract management
* Strong financial and analytical capabilities
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Driving licence is essential
