Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a District Nurse with the specialist practitioner qualification to join the Community District Nursing team in South Hambleton & North Ryedale.

We are looking for a dynamic, passionate, innovative and committed District Nurse with experience of caseload management and multidisciplinary working, together with excellent communication skills, resilience and great leadership skills.

Main duties of the job

You will have the ability to motivate and support others through change in order to enable us to maintain the delivery of high quality, compassionate, proactive and safe care.

The ability to transport yourself and equipment across the locality during the course of a normal working day is required for this vacancy.

Essential criteria

8. Leadership and supervisory skills
9. Ability to work autonomously
10. Effective organisational, managerial and time management skills
11. Ability to demonstrate good communication skills

Desirable criteria

12. Change management skills
13. Understanding of clinical audit

Education, Qualifications & Training

Essential criteria

14. Registered General Nurse, Registered with the NMC
15. Post registration District Nurse qualification

Desirable criteria

16. Degree in Community health care nursing
17. Training in HR policies or willing to attend HR training
18. IT skills/qualifications (ECDL)
19. Mentorship Assessor qualification or equivalent

Experience & Knowledge

Essential criteria

20. Experience in a community nursing setting
21. Evidence of caseload management

Desirable criteria

22. Experience of triage
