Job Description
An established and growing accountancy practice in Gerrards Cross is seeking an experienced a QBE/Part Qualified Practice Accountant to join its friendly and supportive team.
The client is flexible on hours and will consider full or part time however please note, the hours will be based on site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained accountant who enjoys working closely with small and medium-sized businesses, building long-term client relationships, and managing a varied portfolio.
The Role
You will manage your own portfolio of clients across a range of industries, acting as their primary point of contact and trusted adviser.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
* Completing VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns
* Managing client relationships and responding to business and tax queries
* Providing guidance on accounting software and general compliance matters
* Ensuring deadlines and regulatory requirements are consistently met
* Supporting the wider team to maintain smooth workflow and high service standards
This is a hands-on role offering autonomy and variety within a close-knit practice environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* AAT qualified, ACCA qualified/part-qualified, or qualified by experience
* Experienced within a UK accountancy practice (minimum 4 years)
* Confident managing their own client portfolio
* Skilled in accounts preparation and self-assessment tax returns
* Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
* Comfortable working in an office-based role
* Enjoys being part of a small, collaborative team
