Our Client an Energy infrastructure company are seeking Lead EC&I Project Engineer
and this role is placed within Oil & Gas, Energy and Construction industry based in Rochester location for a 12 months contract Inside IR35.
Role
Lead Electrical Controls and Instrumentation Project Engineer will be working within the TD&D team on the Phase 1 BAU & Re-life programme of works. Responsible for managing a team of Electrical, Control & Instrument Engineers, this role brings oversight to the coordination and delivery of multiple projects at all stages.
This is a site-based role where you'll lead a team of Electrical, Control & Instrument Engineers, ensuring the successful coordination and delivery of multiple projects across all stages.
Key Responsibilities:
A Lead EC&I Project Engineer you will manage a team on Electrical, Control & Instrument Engineers. The team is responsible for completing design package via the Terminal's approved framework contractors along with providing technical support to other discipline project engineers.
You will oversee the development of scope of work documents and ensure compliance with relevant standards and legislation. Coordinate design packages with approved framework contractors.
Implement robust project management controls including risk registers, financial forecasts, and schedule tracking. Facilitate stakeholder engagement and workshops. Act as the technical focal point between contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams. Author Investment Scheme Papers and present project progress to senior stakeholders. Support constructibility reviews and project close-out activities.
Experience Required:
Minimum 10 years' experience in Electrical Controls and Instrumentation EC&I engineering within environments such as: LNG / Oil & Gas (onshore/offshore) / Petrochemical/ Utilities / Upper tier COMAH sites
Strong leadership and communication skills.
The successful candidate will have good experience of managing Electrical Controls and Instrumentation type projects, able to act as a focal point for technical issues and have excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects from concept to completion.
