Crown Estate Scotland has an exciting opportunity for a Wider Value Project Manager to join our team on a 6 month Fixed Term, part time basis (0.6FTE).

About the role
The successful candidate/s for this new role within the organisation will be responsible for:
* Managing the Wider Value Project to evaluate the fuller, non-financial, contribution of the Scottish Crown Estate.
* Engaging with stakeholders and establish and manage a stakeholder reference group to help guide the project.
* Defining and running stakeholder engagement events to gather input to project
* Draw together, review and analyse existing evidence and data on economic, financial, social and environmental contribution.
* Develop a methodology for evaluating, reporting and presenting the wider benefit values of the Scottish Crown Estate and the contribution of Crown Estate Scotland.
* Commission and manage specific packages of work to collect data on economic, social and environmental contribution.
* Define and oversee project budget over lifetime of project.
* Apply the Natural Capital Protocol to the Scottish Crown Estate.
* Engage with Crown Estate Scotland’s Board, Scottish Government, and Crown Estate Scotland colleagues on the methodology and how to use it in strategic planning, operational decision making.
* Develop a decision support matrix to guide investment appraisals and ranking.
* Ensure the proper governance and operation of the project through operation of a Project Board and in accordance with good project management principles.
* Delivery of the project as set out in the Project Initiation Document.
* Provide advice on how to evaluate the wider benefit delivery from different ways of managing Scottish Crown Estate assets, including pilot projects with local communities and local authorities.
* Provide reports and presentations to share the outputs of the project with partners and other bodies.
* Establish Crown Estate Scotland as a respected leader in the field of wider benefit evaluation.
The contractual working location of this role is our Edinburgh office. However, we believe work is something you do, not a place you go to, and we are committed to supporting employees to work flexibly and in a way that suits their role and preferences.
The starting salary for carrying out this role on a part time basis (21 hours p/w) will be £35,058with potential for future progression as well as eligibility of annual cost of living rises. The maximum salary for this role carried out on a part time basisis currently £40,701. The starting salary for carrying out this role on afull time basis (35 hours p/w) will be£59,003. The maximum salary for this role carried out on a full time basis is currently £68,501. The role also benefits from 25 days’ annual leave, increasing to 30 days after four years’ service, plus 11.5 of public/ privilege days. Crown Estate Scotland encourage flexible working and operate a discretionary flexi-time scheme. This role offers participation in the Civil Service pension scheme.

About You
You should have:
* Undergraduate degree in relevant field(s), supplemented by relevant CPD.Or significant and directly relevant QBE.
* A sound and deep understanding of sustainability criteria, assessment, value determination, weighting and reporting.
* Knowledge of Integrated Reporting evaluation methodologies such as Natural Capital Protocol
* Professional experience of rural/coastal/marine communities and/or the natural environment.
* Experience of benefits evaluation and evidence-based decision making.
* Experience of managing stakeholder engagement and discussions.
* Track record of assimilating, using, interpreting and presenting data and evidence.
* Experience of preparing and giving presentations including in high-profile situations.
* Project management training and experience.
* Experience of determining the sustainability of assets
* Experience of writing about sustainability of assets
