Business Development Manager

* Start Date: ASAP
* Contract: Monday to Friday - 37 hours a week

Duties and Responsibilities

The persons appointed will be required to work flexibly within a team environment and will be allocated a range of duties and responsibilities. The post holders will work closely with Directorate and other members of staff and will be allocated a range of duties. The duties allocated may be varied or changed by the line manager dependent on the needs of the service.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Business Development Manager, you'll play a key role in identifying new opportunities and driving growth. Your responsibilities will include:

* Researching and developing new business leads across relevant sectors
* Engaging with potential clients and partners through outreach and networking
* Building strong relationships and presenting tailored solutions
* Meeting revenue targets and contributing to strategic planning
* Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction
* Reporting on performance and market trends

We're seeking someone who's confident, commercially minded, and ready to make an impact.

* Strong presentation and negotiation abilities
* A proactive, self-starting attitude with attention to detail
* Familiarity with Education sector is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £18.00-£23.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

* Orpington BR6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

* Do you have a full driving licence and access to a car?
* Can you describe your experience or understanding of government-funded work-based training and commercial products in the FE sector?
* Have you had experience designing and managing targeted sales campaigns? Can you provide an example?
* Have you ever conducted health and safety assessments in a workplace?
* Can you explain your experience of the sales process from initial contact through to key account management?
* Are you familiar with using a CRM system to manage client relationships? Please give details.
* Do you hold a Level 3 qualification or above, preferably in a sales-related subject?
* Do you have Level 2 English and Maths qualifications?
