Senior Manager Category Procurement
Salary: £84,857 – £127,285 per annum
Location: Peterborough & Shrewsbury

What You Will Do
* Manage strategic breakthrough categories to deliver year‑over‑year Quality Cost Logistics Development Management performance improvement.
* Accountable for worldwide sourcing strategy for drivetrain component category.
* Identify performance gaps within supply base and develop improvement plans based on QCLDM expectations.
* Collaborate with regional Supply Network and global peer procurement teams on risk mitigation and predictive cost modeling.
* Develop and manage high‑performing global supply network leveraging Procurement Classification Codes.
What You Will Need
* Planning: Tactical, strategic knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational, tactical and strategic planning.
* Level Extensive Experience in developing tactical plans, linking them to overall strategic plan and ensuring detail and dependencies.
* Effective Communications: Review others’ writing, adapt documents for audience, demonstrate empathy and assertiveness, maintain focus, employ persuasion.
* Negotiating: Lead complex high‑impact negotiations, advocate win‑win, explain approaches, overcome resistance, teach others, handle multiple parties.
* Audit and Compliance: Manage one or more A&C functions, facilitate compliance initiatives, implement Sarbanes‑Oxley changes, improve relationships, contribute to best practices.
* Business Intelligence: Champion adoption of BI, establish standards, lead discussions, present BI information, define key indicators.
* Category Management: Analyze trends, establish best practices, develop training, formulate procurement strategy, identify KPIs, oversee processes, promote emerging tools.
* Supplier Management – MFG: Establish best practices, evaluate product plans, mentor complex issues, develop selection processes, oversee large networks, develop strategies.
* Strategic Sourcing: Deploy and direct strategic sourcing in diverse environments, set standards, lead discussions, mentor on all major functions, influence decisions.
Additional Info
* 20‑30% travel EAME plus occasional global expectations.
* 5‑day per week on‑site presence required; no hybrid option.
