Overview
Early Years Class Teacher (One Year Fixed Term Contract) – Spring Term 2026, for one academic year. Dulwich Prep & Senior is looking for an exceptional Early Years Class Teacher to join the team.
With over 800 pupils, the school is the largest boys’ prep school in the UK and is located in a vibrant part of London. The school prioritises a professional, passionate, collegiate staff community, strong pupil engagement, and supportive and ambitious parents. The aim is to foster intellectual curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Responsibilities
* Create and manage a caring, supportive, purposeful and stimulating environment.
* Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across the Early Years curriculum.
* Contribute to the preparation and development of policies and schemes of work, teaching materials, teaching methods and pastoral arrangements.
* Hold high expectations for children, using assessment to evaluate and improve teaching and learning and pupil attainment.
Qualifications
* QTS qualification (PGCE desirable)
* Full and relevant training and/or experience in the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or KS1
* Paediatric First Aid qualified (or willingness to train for the qualification)
* Knowledge of current educational thinking, initiatives and issues in Early Years
