Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School-Based) Location: Corby and surrounding areas Hours: During school hours (term time only) Contract: Flexible / Part-time About the Role We are seeking an experienced 1:1 Tutor to support pupils across the Corby area in both home and school settings. The role involves delivering personalised learning to help pupils re-engage with education, build confidence, and make meaningful academic progress. This position is ideal for qualified teachers or experienced education professionals with strong classroom experience. Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition in core subjects (mainly English and Maths, KS1–KS4 depending on placement) Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual pupil needs and learning styles Work flexibly in pupils’ homes or within school settings during school hours Track progress and provide feedback to schools, parents, or professionals Build positive, supportive relationships with learners Maintain safeguarding and child protection standards at all times Requirements Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in a school or educational setting Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum Experience working with children or young people on a 1:1 or small group basis Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons Strong communication and interpersonal skills Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential.
