Advert The advanced clinical practitioner (ACP) provides advanced clinical practice as an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team within their speciality at the University Hospital of North Midlands. It is a level of practice characterised by a high degree of autonomy and complex decision making. This is underpinned by a master’s level award or equivalent that encompasses the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research, with demonstration of core capabilities and area specific clinical competence.” The ACP has a trust-wide responsibility to provide clinical excellence through the four pillars of advanced clinical practice. The clinical practice pillar accounts for a minimum of 80% of their contracted hours of work and they practice with a significant higher level of responsibility and autonomy which is comparable to that of the level of medical staff providing the same level of service: You will provide advanced clinical skills and advice demonstrating a sound understanding of the issues related to the identification, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of the client group.
