Salary: £36,501 to £41,153 per annum, increasing following the successful completion of the probation period and merits.
Contract: Full time, Permanent, 12-hour shifts – 4 on, 4 off

We are recruiting a Maintenance Technician to support our mission of providing a safe and reliable tram service, performing maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for our rolling stock assets.
Experience in rail or trams is not required if you can demonstrate experience with electrical and mechanical fault finding, in an automotive setting or similar. If you have completed your Level 3 qualification in Engineering, we would love to speak to you.
Responsibilities
* Perform preventative scheduled maintenance on the trams, working on systems with mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
* Perform corrective maintenance on the trams, including troubleshooting, fault finding, and diagnosis using computer equipment and on-tram diagnostics systems, followed by repairs as appropriate.
* Support testing, commissioning, and acceptance of new trams.
* Record all work activities, including preventative and corrective maintenance.
* Accurately report and record details of fault finding and diagnosis.
* Support Rolling Stock Engineering Management in delivering the production plan, ensuring exam tasks are completed in a timely manner.
* Actively participate in ongoing continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
* Experience in undertaking preventative and corrective maintenance on high-value safety-critical equipment.
* Experience in finding and diagnosing faults in complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Experience in the use of computer-based diagnostic equipment.
Desirable
* Mechanical and Electrical ONC or a time-served apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
* Engineering-based NVQ level 3.
