Day rate: Up to £400(via Umbrella Company) – Inside IR35


Overview:


We are seeking an SC Cleared Project Manager to join a major MoD MNO Windows 11 deployment programme.


MNO (MODNET Next Generation Online) - The Ministry of Defence’s secure, classified IT infrastructure, used across military and government offices. MNO refers to an upgraded, next-gen version of MODNET, improving speed, security, and collaboration tools.

This includes rolling out better hardware (laptops, desktops) and upgrading secure IT environments for all defence personnel. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing site-based deployment activities across both the UK and international locations.


If you are experienced in managing onsite engineering teams, coordinating deployments, and handling day-to-day operational site activities — this could be a fantastic fit for you.


Key Details:


* Extensive UK and International travel required.
* Hands-on site work with regular travel across assigned regions and global locations
* Deployment experience is highly advantageous
* MOD or secure environment experience is a strong plus


Role Responsibilities:


* Project Migration Setup
* Obtain access to onsite storage and manage project stock
* Brief and instruct contractor engineers on site-specific rules and protocols
* Coordinate daily migration refresh schedules with the contractor teams
* Provide collected Device Designation Rules to engineers
* Set up and manage Laptop Refresh Clinics
* Daily management of onsite laptop refresh activities
* Manage end-of-day reporting and escalation handling
* Ensure contractor workflow management tooling is updated accurately
* VIP and ANS User Refresh
* Daily management of VIP and ANS (Authority Named Staff) user migrations
* Maintain end-of-day reporting, escalation handling, and tooling updates
* Reporting
* Populate and submit the Migration Completion Reports to Authority Site Leads
* Populate and upload the Authority’s C-RAP (Customer Reporting and Analysis Pack) reports to the designated file store


Ideal Candidate Profile:


* Current SC Level Clearance
* Strong onsite management experience across complex, multi-site deployments
* Hands-on leadership and workflow management of engineering teams
* Previous experience in deployment and migration projects (Windows 11 experience preferred)
* Excellent communication, reporting, and escalation handling skills
* Ability and flexibility to travel extensively across the UK and internationally
* Familiarity with MOD or highly secure environments (preferred but not mandatory)
