Would you like to play a key role procuring and providing all cutting tools into production environment for a large defence client. We currently have a vacancy for a CMT Planning & Logistics at the site in Samlesbury.
As a CMT Planning & Logistics, you will be responsible for cutter provisioning within numerous critical lines of business that manufacture parts and assemblies, across a variety of Air Sector platforms. The role involves forecasting cutting tool demand and production order book management across a number of preferred suppliers, liaising with key Operational stakeholders to ensure that the supply solution is both available and effective.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a technical based role in which you can make your impact in logistics though creating and improving processes, in a bespoke ‘trail- blazing' role between logistics and production.
Key duties;
- Procurement of Cutting Tools and maintaining of stock levels in line with demand profiles Analysing stock and liaising with suppliers to prioritise critical items on a weekly basis
- Responsible for your own reporting, tracking and budget control
- Generating monthly expense claims within Concur against AMEX statements and submitting to HoB for signature
- Identification and resolution of all Cutting Tool quality failings with corrective actions recorded and impact of replacement tooling assessed with key stakeholders and suppliers
- Engage Business production managers to identify future demand of Cutting Tools and proactively assess stock requirements
- Supporting the team in the maintenance and improvements of demand profiles and approval registers
- Annual creation of yearly usage tracker spreadsheets across all businesses
- Actively support any ongoing cost saving initiatives, as well as seeking out opportunities to improve cost, schedule and quality
- Input into monthly supplier reviews with key stakeholders
You will have the ability to interface with people at different levels
