Role Description

This is a full‑time, field‑based Technical Sales Manager role, based from our East Kilbride office covering the whole of Scotland. The Technical Sales Manager will develop and manage customer relationships with BEMS, and electrical engineering clients, identifying opportunities, understanding technical requirements, and recommending suitable control and automation products. Daily responsibilities include visiting customer sites, conducting technical presentations, product demonstrations, preparing quotations, and following up on sales opportunities to meet or exceed targets. The role also involves providing front‑line technical support, coordinating with internal specialists to resolve product queries, and ensuring a smooth handover from sales to fulfillment. The Technical Sales Manager will monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to help refine sales strategies and product offerings, while maintaining accurate records in CRM and reporting regularly on pipeline and performance.


Qualifications

* Demonstrated experience in Technical Sales and Sales, ideally with knowledge and experience within Electrical Control & Automation products, or related industrial sectors.
* Proven Account Management skills, with the ability to develop long-term customer relationships and grow existing accounts.
* Strong Technical Support capabilities, including the aptitude to understand control and automation products and translate technical features into customer benefits.
* Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, reliability, and clear communication in both field and office settings.
* Solid organizational and time‑management skills, including managing a field‑based schedule, territory planning, and maintaining accurate documentation.
* Background in engineering, electrical, controls, or a related technical discipline (formal qualification or equivalent experience preferred).
* Valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly.
* Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively with internal teams, and contribute to a safety‑focused, inclusive work environment.
