Overview
Working exclusively with our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Technical Sales Manager to support continued business growth across the company group.
Remit
* This position will suit a Technical Sales professional or Account Manager with previous experience in engineering / manufacturing

* The successful candidate will act as a key link to customers, sales and manufacturing, providing technical expertise to support new projects and business opportunities
Role
* In the role of Technical Sales Manager you will manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers whilst identifying and developing new business opportunities
* Act as primary technical point of contact for customers during the course of new projects
* Build long‑term business relationships with customers through regular technical reviews and site visits
* Understand customer requirements and develop them into manufacturable solutions
* Prepare detailed technical inputs for quotations including cycle times, material usage, tooling costs and secondary operations
* Work closely with cost estimators to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
* Collaborate with tooling, process and quality departments to develop optimal injection moulding solutions
* Support NPI from concept through to production launch
* Maintain up‑to‑date understanding of the market for potential new business opportunities
* Stay up to speed with injection moulding technologies, material solutions, automation and industry trends
* Represent the company at industry trade shows
Experience Requirements
* Degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline an advantage
* Experience in technical sales or project engineering roles within plastics manufacturing an advantage but other manufacturing / engineering sectors considered
* Experience working directly with customers in an engineering / manufacturing environment
* Good understanding of injection moulding processes, tooling and materials. Other plastics manufacturing disciplines are also welcomed
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models
* Strong presentation and negotiation skills
* Commercial awareness
* Customer focused with a solution based selling approach
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple functions
