Workshop Welder/Fabricator – Salisbury – Full-time permanent – Up to £40,000pa.
We are looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our clients small, experienced team in their Workshop Department. Ideally you will have experience within farming/agriculture welding.
This is a hands-on role that requires you to work both independently and collaboratively with a team of fabricators and welders. Youll enjoy working on a variety of projects, from fabricating new parts to repairing agricultural and plant machinery.
Key Duties
* Utilising MIG welding equipment to fabricate and manufacture parts and assemblies
* Supply parts and assemblies from jigs and fixtures
* Repair agricultural and plant machinery
* Develop and improve machinery fleet
* Maintain stock levels and welding consumables
* Occasional travel to off-site projects
What Were Looking For
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in fabrication
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in MIG welding of steel
* Some experience with TIG and ARC welding of steel, stainless steel, and aluminium is highly desirable
* A working knowledge of engineering drawings
* A full UK driving license and experience driving a counterbalance forklift
* Enthusiasm, good timekeeping, and the ability to work to deadlines under pressure
* Physically able to lift and handle heavy items in line with health and safety regulations
